Considered the largest privately owned residence in the United States,
the Biltmore
Estate

home in 1895 by George W. Vanderbilt, the 250-room French Renaissance chateau
houses a collection of priceless antiques, paintings, and tapestries. A
daytime ticket includes access to the estate’s vast gardens, the winery,

Chimney Rock Park Package
Standing on the edge of a 500 million-year-old rock and looking 120 vertical
feet down, Chimney
Rock Park
is the natural fulfillment of your visit to the mountains. Take the 26-story
elevator to the top of the rock, hike the Skyline trail to the top of Hickory
Nut Falls while it plunges 404 feet down the rock face, or picnic in one
of the wildflower meadows. Chimney Rock Park, open year-round (weather
permitting), is 25 miles southeast of Asheville.
